For the following international student programs, new dormitory applications will be handled by the Incoming Student Exchange Section, Student Exchange Division:

• Joint Education Program (Double Degree) students
• Japanese Language Training Course students
• COLABS students (new applications and extension applications)

For the following categories of international students, applications should be submitted by the supervising laboratory to the GSIS Educational Affairs Section:

• International students taking the entrance examination for admission in October 2026 (First Round)
• Research Students and Special Research Students enrolling in October 2026 (excluding Joint Education Program (Double Degree) students and COLABS students (new applications and extensions))
• International students scheduled to arrive in Japan in October 2026 under the NIFS Program

Special Visiting Research Students must apply separately using a different application form.

• Dormitory stays of less than one month up to less than three months are available.
• Applications must be submitted between six months and one month before the intended move-in date.
