Harada Laboratory studiescoding theory, combinatorial design theory and related combinatorial structures. Our major topic in algebraic coding theory is self-dual codes by an algebraic approach and a combinatorial approach. We are also interested in related combinatorial structures and discrete structures. Combinatorial designs are one of combinatorial structures. Our major topics in combinatorial design theory are symmetric designs, t-designs and Hadamard matrices by an algebraic approach and a combinatorial approach.

In Masamune Laboratory, we are developing and applying the theories of long-term properties of stochastic processes and extensions of operators, as well as the homogenization theory. These inner related research areas have deep and successful histories in both theory and practice; however, there are many unsolved fundamental and important problems. For example, one of our going on projects is the construction of the theory and the method to prevent cancer penetration in a collaborative effort with medical doctors. We carefully observe the real world phenomena and establish solid mathematical theories to support the “laws”in Natural Science.
