The ubiquitous network environment exists in society and various information systems built upon that networked environment are expected to support everyday life and social activities of people. They are also expected to promote new life styles and to advance information society using sensor devices. It is an important challenge to develop easy-to-use intelligent systems which can friendly cooperate with various people in order to support their various creative activities in an active and autonomic way. To realize such systems, we propose a concept called Cyberware as an infrastructure of a Cybersociety that provides a new information environment in which people and various systems can work together cooperatively. We aim at studying advanced information and communication technologies to realize knowledge-based softwares such as cyberware based on collaboration between people and intelligent systems over the distributed environments. In our research, we adopt an agent-based computing technology as one of the essential technologies to realize various application systems like portable information devices management support, knowledge-based network management support, secure personalization for a regional service, user-oriented information delivery support, energy management based on micro grid, support for collaborative work, life-support based on IoT Devices.
