REVIEWS AND LECTURES

Since 2010 the section titled GSIS Selected Lectures has been devoted to the publication of lectures delivered in the Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University. Due to an increasing rise in the interests in concise and high-quality review articles, the editorial office of Interdisciplinary Information Sciences has decided to replace the section titled GSIS Selected Lectures with the section titled Reviews and Lectures.

This new section aims at the publication of high-quality reviews and interdisciplinary lecture notes on all fields of information sciences, covering a wide range of topics from the fundamentals to new frontiers. The Reviews and Lectures will appear occasionally in the regular publication. We are more than happy if our publications help the readers with various research backgrounds to realize what kind of issues are under discussion in their own field and related ones.
