This is a program open to international students and scholars in Tohoku University. It aims to improve students' ability in Japanese and basic academic skills, and to help them adapt to their new living environments.
The classes in the program are held at the Center for the Advancement of Higher Education at Kawauchi Kita campus.
At present, the Special Japanese Language Program offers the following courses.
